Garbage Dreams follows three boyish boys built-in into the debris barter and growing up in the world’s better debris village, a Coptic Christian association on the outskirts of Cairo. It is the home to 60,000 Zaballeen – Arabic for “garbage people.” Far advanced of any avant-garde “Green” initiatives, the Zaballeen survive by recycling 80 percent of the debris they collect.
